5 Tips for end of month for social media managers

The end of month can feel hectic am I right? The one thing I have noticed though in the last three years is that if you don't set yourself up for success at the end of the month for the next month. The next month won’t go as smooth as I would have liked it to, there are some things that we can be doing at the end of each month to set ourselves up for success for the upcoming month. Check out my 5 top tips for end of month for Social Media Managers or anyone who is managing social for a company.

Tip #1 analytics reports

Make time at the end of each month to go over your analytics from each social platform and any digital marketing tasks that you are doing to make sure you are getting closer to your goals. For example I check over my clients impressions, reach, and website clicks from Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest at the end of each month. I check what content did the best. I make sure to review this so next month I know what I can do better to reach the goals of each client or my own business. I like to use Sprout Social for an overall view of analytics from the platforms as well as each individual platforms analytics (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Flodesk) This truly allows you to see what all of your hard work is producing and allows you to reflect and make sure your efforts are in alignment for next month to reach the client/ or your digital marketing goals.

Key point: Use a platform like Sprout Social and Google Analytics to review analytics at the end of each month to make sure you are moving in the right direction with your digital marketing efforts.

Tip #2 Utilizing a Scheduling Platform

The next big tip that I want to talk about is setting your content up ahead of time so you aren’t posting the day of. This way you profile content is full set up for the month and if you need add in last minute content it will be quite easy while staying consistent. Also, this allows you to focus on other areas for example Instagram if you set up your profile content for the month then during the week you could focus on being more on stories and creating the connection in the dm, or using Instagram live, or Instagrams new baby reels. Setting yourself up ahead might seem like a lot of work but really when it comes down to it you are going to feel less stressed throughout the month, you are going to be able to focus more on using all the areas of the platforms you are in and you are going to be CONSISTENT and be able to focus on creating the connection each week with your ideal audience.

Tip #3 Pay Attention to YOUR CONTENT

Listen, I am not a fan of stock photography I feel that if you are going to be on social media you need to be unique to your brand not use filler posts. I can understand that its necessary sometimes but in this day when consumers are thrown so much content its better to be real, and unique than to use random filler posts just to post. Pay attention at the end of each month what content did the best. What does your audience want to see, what do they engage with most. Let me repeat this PAY attention to your content its so important. This is how you are portraying your brand, are you showcasing what you want your ideal customers/client to see?

TIP #4 SPEAK WITH YOUR AUDIENCE

The end of the month is a great time to ask your audience questions, add surveys, ask them what they truly want to see. This is also a good time to see how engaged your audience really is with your brand. At the end of the day you want an engaged audience if you find that you don’t have one this is a great time to re-evaluate what you are posting and how you can engage your audience more. The biggest thing I can stress enough is that consumers are shown brand after brand every single day, ad after ad you have to stand out. Each brand is unique SHOW this weekly. Connect, engage, speak with your ideal customer on daily basis make your efforts about people and let your brand shine.

TIP #5 REFLECT

How do you feel about your brands social media? Is it everything you want, is your vision coming to life? Do you feel happy or drained with your digital marketing efforts? The consumer will always be able to tell. If you need to outsource, outsource. If you need to get on brand photography done so you don’t have to crate the content invest in it. Sometime the best thing you can do for yourself and your brand is allow other people to help and work in their zone of genius while you work in yours.
